Great People & Process Valued within Local Acquisition

Merant & Serena both Benefit from On-Site Financial Model & Team

PORTLAND, OR – After providing 15 months of outsourced accounting services to Hillsboro-based Merant, On-Site Financial’s five person team has been retained through the acquisition resulting from the merger of Merant and the San Mateo - based, Serena. While Merant found value in the outsourced services model of On-Site Financial, Serena valued the people themselves, and chose to hire each of them directly after the purchase was finalized.

On-Site Financial was originally chosen by Brian Unruh, Merant’s VP of Finance & Accounting to lead an outsourced team in providing accounting duties for Merant during 2003 and 2004. At the time of the purchase on April 26th, 2004, Serena leadership offered each On-Site Financial team member a permanent position with the company, allowing the newly formed company to keep its back-office in tact.
